Community Health Charities Names Community Outreach Coordinator
CHICAGO (Oct. 5, 2007) – Community Health Charities of Illinois (CHCI), the state’s only workplace giving program exclusively devoted to health-related causes, has named Sean C. Morgan, 31, Community Outreach Coordinator.. Morgan’s new responsibilities include working on behalf of the 37 health-related organizations of the CHCI federation to raise health and wellness awareness in some 200 public and private sector workplaces.
Morgan was last employed by Working for Togetherness as project manager at the Youth Empowerment Center in Chicago. Earlier he was the coordinator of HIV/AIDS Prevention Programs for the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and has also worked in such community organizations as the American Red Cross, Planned Parenthood, and the Urban League.
"The addition of Sean Morgan to our staff enables a new level of communication with our member charities and of support to our public and private sector campaign managers," says CHCI President Barbara Boden.
A native Chicagoan, Morgan graduated with a degree in communications and sociology from Greenville College in Greenville, Ill. He now resides in the South Shore area of Chicago.
